gauges wired-need to check some baseline numbers

Well after getting the truck back from the tranny shop Wed ,spend fri installing pryo probe and new to me turbo .Then all day today installing gauges. So now everything on my sig is installed .Took her for a good run up a small pass held her at 70 for 1 mile up 4% @ 2000 rpm/15#boost/1000 egt and back up the other side same #'s these sound about right [virgin pump] at cruising speed very little boost unless i give it juice /pryo at 600[pre turbo] so these seem about right. ps isn't amazing how cheap a " new 1st gen truck" is these days

Boost sounds low for having a 12cm housing. I'd check for charge air leaks, intercooler boots, and the boost tubing fittings etc.

I made a pressurizer from a PVC pipe cap and a rubber coupler. I drilled a hole in the cap and taped it 1/4 inch pipe and screwed in a airhose quick connect fitting. I clamped it over the turbo intake and then I connected my compressor and slowely turned up the regulator until I had the desired pressure.

I don't know how much overlap the valves have so you might need to roll the engine over slightly but I didn't need to.

Then you just use soapy water on the suspects until you find bubbles.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's not enough fuel available to make more than 15 psi. He said the pump is stock, and if the throttle linkage is as sloppy as most he's not even getting all that is available. EGT is low too.

Well today , after I adjust the linkage I'll do same run with clip board and get exact #'s ...what with fast glances, new toys, traffic etc may be off by 2-3 lbs/100-200 rpm /100*-150* tks for all the replies guys and Happy Easter
