bad lift pump?

i changed my fuel filter today and there seems to be no resistance in the priming lever on the lift pump. the truck runs fine. i dont have a gauge to check fuel pressure with. does this limp lever mean my lift pump is bad?

Thanks!

Resistance

If the pump lever is on the cam lobe in the wrong position, it will move too easy and not pump any fuel (easy to forget) Crank the engine just a bit to move the cam, should solve the problem.
