Autometer pyro troubleshooting questions

Any of you guys w/ AM guages have trouble with your pyro's? Mine is acting squirly after 3+ years of trouble free temp readings. The problem is that if I have either my tranny cooler fan on, my headlights clicked on for brights, or my foglight switch on, the pyro needle shackes erratically and/or just drops to a zero reading. It won't do it at all and runs normal if I just have my headlights on, w/o brights or w/o the tranny fan activated. Funny thing is, none of the wires from those sources come in contact with the wiring of the pyro(all wiring is loomed under the dash). Sometimes, playing with the power window switches will cause it to bounce from zero to wherever it is in temperature at that time. Also, I have noticed that it won't do it at all even with the other sources on when it is 1st started. It starts to do it after around 30 minutes of driving. What gives? All this stuff has been happening to me lately. I hate odd years. I knew as soon as I turned 45 stuff was going to start happening. Anyway, let me know on the Autometer, and thanks in advance.

Run a ground straight to the block from the pyro.
