I'd pony up the $500 for one of KTA's 14mm heads as well, they're usually worth 100-150hp over stock if everything else can keep up.

 

I still havent found the tranny I want yet. Deffinatly not a 727 or non lockup. Maybe a 47rh, maybe an Allison with a stand alone controler. It may be awhile on that.


JQmile, I talked to KTA and from what I've gathered the stock pump with a fuel system that can keep up like an electric unit, big lines, big filter, and a constant 18psi inlet pressure to the VE will make 450whp more reliably than a 14MM H&R pump. Even at 500whp your better off with just a stock pump and good fuel system. If your looking for big power and trying to make 550+whp and the trucks main use is competition than a 14MM H&R kit is the way to go. My goal is to have a reliable long lasting 450 or so whp and have a solid 12 second truck. When all else fails I have lots of extra N2O sitting in the garage. lol

 

Sounds like you've done your homework, hopefully the dyno will show some good test results. LOL
