Aurora 3000 (or equivalent) and 50 h.p. injectors?
One of my first thoughts after buying my truck was to use mild turbo and injector upgrades and limit the use of electronics to make reliable and respectable power. I know this will cost a lot more but it is and always has been my preferred method. I will never drag race or sled pull with my truck, and I very rarely even hot rod much on the street. I will, however, be driving it to work every day, and on the weekends and vacations pull a large, heavy 5th wheel and do some CA desert off roading.
So I was thinking of picking up an Aurora 2000 or 3000 (or equivalent from other manufacturers), a set of 50 h.p. or so injectors (prefer Flux 1 injectors), and continue using my Quad Xzillaraider Std. (30-60-100 h.p. version). So what do you guys think? Is this something that will make a good setup for towing (no surging, no turbo bark, lower EGTs, etc.) while at the same time be up for some "spirited" driving around town and on the highway (minimal turbo lag, etc.)?

HT-71 62SS or SPS 62. A GDP pump and call it good. The 62 SS would be good for the towing aspect since it can withstand higher EGT's (according to their website).

pretty much same as my long term goal
DDP 70 HP injectors - Done
Quad 30 60 90 box - Done
VB - Done
TC - needed still
Turbo - needed still - will probably use a BD super B & exh manifold

With just Flux 1.8s, an Aurora 3k, ATS manifold, lift pump, and cp3 my truck has really good power. I'm sure it would be fine without the cp3, but obviouisly I need it when I turn up the electronics. It would be great for towing. I haven't towed with it since the Fluxs, but will be the weekend of Aug 11th. That's likely how I'll tow - electronics off.

I hear ya. Just trying not to overstress a particular part or system. It'll make me feel better! And I really want to keep EGTs in check, and I think a good turbo will accomplish that.
