1993 d350 2wd auto, 140,000 miles. Lift pump went out, replaced with 2nd gen piston pump last year, ran fine since. VE pump looks to have been replaced as it is painted black, dont know.
Was going up i-80E to Truckee, as I get close to summit I noticed egts climbing, eng temp climbing, I coast down back of summit into truckee, oil pressure drops, brakes get goofy... I pull over and shut it down. Check oil and it was waaaay over full, thin and stank of diesel. Had it towed 90 miles back to house. Draining the oil out last night and it is almost straight diesel, light grey thin and transparent, filled one 15 qt conatiner and had to stop, still lots of oil/fuel left in pan... need to buy another container to drain the rest into.
As i was cleaning up top of container I see this broken piece of metal in oil, looks like half of a small steel washer, looks like its a bit chewed up maybe. Trying to post a pic. Anybody have a guess what this piece is, where it came from and why? I fear Something inside my engine is coming a part.

You may have pushed the front seal out on the injection pump.
Is it a special Low pressure LP or just a stock 2nd gen LP that will run at a pressure that is too high for the VE pumps front seal to hold?

Now I am curious I can think fo four D 350s around Auburn. A white one with the typical leper dodge paint, a really clean white one , a really clean red/light grey one and a really clean blue/ light grey.one. rare one of these yours? I forgo there is a faded grey one too.
