Anyone have a how to for remove/replace a/c evaporator in 93 d series truck?

I am re doing my a/c and need to remove and replace a/c evaporator, and any pictures or step by step procedure would sure be helpful. thanks.

Yup gotta pull the whole heater/AC box to do it. you just replacing it with another OEM unit....or did you go with one of the aftermarket pieces? I have heard that the aftermarket units, though new, don't fit all that well.

I may end up pulling mine too. mostly to welding in the floor. But It is a good excuse to clean it up and install a clean out door.

I put a new aftermarket one in mine and the fit was dead on

It looks to me like the one in the sticky was bent in shipping. Pretty common to have to straighten them out a little.

No more new OEM units remaining -- the part (part #: 4494 321) has been discontinued and the Mopar computer shows no dealership in the US is still holding one .
