Did anybody suggest getting an extended cab long bed Ford F150 yet? Hehehe... Best riding truck I ever owned. Useless for towing though...

Sorry man, had to do it...

And if you're trying to chase away the stiff ride, stay away from high-tech “monotube” shock absorbers such as Bilstein. I regret buying my Pro-Comp monotubes. Rancho (“twin tube” technology) makes an adjustable shock that, on its softest setting, might help.

Good luck.
Really? my truck rides like a half ton.Every time I ride in my sons it feels like a lumber wagon

I read a post some where, can't find it now, where a guy did about the same thing as Jim Lane's first post, only he used UHMWP or Ultra High Molecular Weight Plastic, or something like that. The material looked to be thicker than what Jim used, might make a life span differance as Jim's material looked to wear out quickly. Not the buttons, but strips.

How it works is they remove the rear spring hangers and bolt them to the kelderman set up and that is what controls the ride and stance. Here is a pic of the side you can see what I mean by remove the rear spring hangers.

I would be interested in a pic of the front setup... I'm actually considering 4 linking the front and rear and going air at all 4 corners..

Here is a pic of the front. Its just 2 bags one on each leaf and air is supplied by a tank you fill with a regular air hose. From empty to 28 psi it raises about 2 1/2 to 3". Sorry I thought I had more. In the picture you can see the bag in the center and then to the right of the spring is the tank with the hose going to the top of the bag.

check your shocks, my rears were totally dead when i got my truck and it felt like driving a pogo stick. Put some new shocks in and it helped. Now i have a toolbox and a couple hundred pounds of concrete bags behind my wheel wells that helps the ride a lot.

That's crazy, my Kelderman system is completely different.

The front looks like in the picture, but in the rear I have air bags on each side (like in the front) except the whole system works together (not two seperate systems like the front).

My rear system incorporates the receiver as well.

As to part numbers for Kelderman, I'm pretty sure it's just a few old dudes working there. Give them a call, they're pretty friendly.

You can also look into www.alcanspring.com for replacement springs. For the front, they do make a very noticeable ride difference on my RamCharger. For the rear, the spring rate is close to factory, so the ride plus 3 inch lift is nice.

They use multiple leaves, but of differing thickness material, to survive under the Cummins, and yet still provide a good ride.

I use the Rancho 9000XLs on it, and they work great too.

If you still have a factory bench seat, that contributes. On my former 93 with 4 inch Skyjacker and Bilstein 5100s, it was better than stock, but I finally switched it to bucket seats, wow! what a ride difference.

Also, lower the pressure more, to around 40-45 rear, and maybe 45-50 front and see how it rides, if on E rated tires only though.

That's the Keldermann version 1.0. The current setup is like Subliminal's. They changed it because the old setup had no place for the spare tire.

just thinkin somewhat outside the box and halfway original, what about takin some seats out of a semi (it'd take some searching to find some that'd fit in the dern cab) and let the spring system absorb the bump, instead of goin out and buying a whole new shock system and springs and whatnot?
