Another weird question about turbos from that nut . . . .
I wonder what would be the advantage, if any, with connecting the waste-gate control line to the intake manifold, as compared to the stock compressor housing's outlet.
Seems it might improve boost at the manifold by compensating for losses in the ducting and after-cooler.
But then again it might scatter the turbo by not seeing over-speed conditions at top engine RPM's/WOT/max boost.
Hmmmmm . . . .
Anybody have experience with such?

It's been done both ways on the 2nd gens. If you're wasting at a reasonable pressure, say below 35 psi, you're not in danger of overspeeding the turbo whether you run the boost line from the compressor or the manifold. I like to run it off the manifold so the peak boost remains constant regardless of the weather.
