Talking Another two thousand mile trip down

So I love my truck!!!! I just drove from the coast of Oregon to eastern Kansas in the old girl and aside from a little alignment trouble every thing went great!!! I averaged 23.6 mpg all the way so I'm happy. The new turbo was a big help going over the rockys, I never saw anything over 1100 on the pyro and I was boosting 20 psi going over the hills.

Just thought I would share with y'all

Jim

Thanks guys that new turbo really woke up the old girl. But I worry about it because I had to wire the wg shut to get it to bolt up. And everyone says that the hx35 should have just bolted up but the wg bracket got in the way. Did holset make differt housing for the trucks and industrial applications?

So I have another turbo question for y'all.

Ok so I have another hx35 with the same in side wg but the turbo carage is different. It looks to have water passages on the sides? There 4 extra holes in the side of the carage, two are plugged and the other to are open and the it has the normal oil feed and drain. Has anyone ever seek a hx35 like this one?

Thanks again

Jim

Some Marine and Industrial turbos are water cooled.
