Another oil pressure ?
Another oil pressure ?

Well I tried to hookup a aftermarket oil gauge on top of the oil filter housing and couldn't get a reading, I watch the oil travel up the plastic line but never made it to the gauge(line was about 6ft lone) so I guess I have an oil pressure problem? I took a pic of what my gauge reads when it's ran for about 10 mins, so the truck isn't cold but it isn't hot. The gauge is usually a little above the line you see it on there, but after it's driven and u come to a stop it sits slightly below the line to the left . Does this look normal for a cummins? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The reason the oil cannot get to the end of the plastic tubing is the oil cannot displace the air in the tubing, you need to crack the fitting at the back of the gauge with the engine running and let the air out of the line so it can fill with the oil, then you should get a better reading.
If this is with the engine idling, the pressure looks ok, oil pressure is going to depend on factors like oil viscosity, outside temperature, engine temperature, engine wear.
If you are still not getting a reading on your new gauge then remove the fitting and take a look into the back of the fitting, there might be something stuck in the small restrictor if there is one or you could have a bad gauge.
What brand name is your gauge?
I have test gauges, gauges with sections of hose attached to check pressures on engines, transmissions I used to use at work. I used to have to monitor all of the shift and line pressures on THD V-730 transmissions as it was going down the road at work

Even with air in the line it will still read, I have never had to bleed a gauge. You've pinched the line somewhere or there is something clogging it up.
According to the factory oil pressure gauge you have "some" oil pressure. For a Cummins, "some" seems to be enough.
