Air filters....which one?

I invite all who know to give their opinion on 2 air filter brands.
I want to know which filter is 'truly' better. This goes for filtration characteristics as well as durability from cleaning and longevity.

aFe or K&N???

Which is it

Thanks

I run a K&N, but Ive heard good things about the aFE as well. Basically whatever you think would be better. Both need to be cleaned fairly often (I clean mine about every 10,000 to 15,000) to perform at their fullest. My buddy runs an aFE in his PSD and is very happy with that as well.

I prefer the third option - the BHAF. No oiled cotton cleans air better than paper.

I am aFe all the way! I have the big aFe the 2nd genners use for the mega-cannons on a custom air filter (open) mount I have... FLOWS LIKE CRAZY!!! It woke the turbo up quite a bit, and the turbo whistles like mad now.

I went with aFe because a lot of first genners were having problems with the KN not sealing right in the airbox...

They're a lot alike, so either way would be good... just make sure that if you get a K&N, check the intake for dusting.

I like my K & N. I've never had a sealing problem, even after cleaning it a couple of times. But then again I don't drive in a particularly dusty environment.
