air filter

I'm undecided between the AFE Pro Guard 7 with a swiss-cheesed air box or a BHAF with the old smokey mount......any suggestions? For those for the BHAF....any one in particular? And does anybody make one that is reusable? Where can I get one?

Thanks,
Bryan

A BHAF is a BHAF, they all flow about the same. They are all disposable paper elements, they last a long, long time because they are huge. I got mine at a truck parts store. You can get them at NAPA, and also from http://www.airflo.com/

If you plan on muddin', Mississippi River Crossin', or irrigation ditch dredgin', the the Ol' Smokey probably isn't for you. It WILL get wet. As would the stock filter housing if you were doing those activities. But for normal driving, the mount directs the water off the filter just fine.

point taken... In your opinion, do you think I would get better performance and fuel mileage out of a BHAF than a AFE Pro Guard 7 with a swiss-cheesed air box???
