If you bought a mechanical gauge there is plug by the thermostat that you could screw the sender into. If it's electrical I'm not sure if the sender that woulda came with it will work in the hole that the stock one is in.

The gauge I used was an ss white and the fitting that screws into the block was big but still need a bushing, but I just picked that up at the hardware store.
