Any leads on where i can get one of those free or cheap 12cm housings?
Check the classifieds here and on TDR, also look on Ebay. I've seen them go as low as $15 on Ebay, and the one that started me on the downhill slide was free.

Don't be too paranoid about it, just get a 60 psi gauge on there so you know where you stand. Like I said, mine stood 50 psi when I was racing a Camaro with a turbo under the back bumper. I was pulling away when I glanced at the boost gauge, too.

It could be maxing out at 33 psi, who can tell? If you have an oil pressure gauge laying around, throw it on there instead. Pressure is pressure, the gauge doesn't need to say "boost" on it.

The hybrid 35's are a pretty tough unit....in my case I've run mine to pretty much ludicrous levels and it still keeps on spinnin'.....
At this point I've run as high as 47psi boost at approx 1800*F....I'm not saying it'll take that forever but it has taken a beating and kept on hangin in there for me....

I'm also using a 16cm on the hot end...it performs very well for the way I've got my fueling set up...
I've also run a non-gated 14cm and while it was a rocket to spoolup it was just plain "thermonuclear" in the heat department at my fueling levels,so, I went to the 16cm and it works pretty well.
I just need twins to burn the fuel I've got...mind you, the water/meth really helps alot to..

pb...

This was in 5th gear at over 60 mph. That's the torque talkin', baby. I wouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell of beating him off the line.

He passed me, I saw the turbo, I pulled alongside and gave a thumbs up and it was on! I'd like to try that guy again now that the boost is under control.

You have to drill a big hole near the turbo flange and weld a wastegate flange onto the manifold. Then you can use a ricer wastegate.
