I don't see why not, I've used one for years on my 727. What application uses 1/2 in and out?

I used to have a 74 1 ton 4x4 Maxiwagon, it had a condenser for a tranny cooler on it for about 20 years, it worked fine.

Right now i have the factory cooler and i took out the heat exchanger and put a 6 row cooler in. Do you think it would help putting the condenser in.

I guess it would depend on how your current setup is handling the temps. You should probably put a gauge in there and see what you have.

I have a gauge it sits on about 250 most of the time. It cools down to about 200 when I cruise at 40 mph for a while but it is normally always over 200

Put the condenser in, those temps are awful high. Where is the temp sender located?

Wow, those temps are REALLY high. I'd be checking the fluid for burnt smell, etc as I heard the atf+4 breaks doing at 250ish...

Thats weird.

The shift kit is supposed to cool things down.

Is it low on fluid? IS it the correct length dipstick?

Thats not towing or anything and to tell y'all the truth I have only had the truck a year or so but when we got the truck the tranny was suppose to have just been serviced. I could tell the tranny was slipping so I checked it and it said full but I noticed on the dip stick it said check in neutral so I did and it was 4 quarts low. I don't know how long they had been checking it in park so I'm not sure .

I see some trans pan companies tap them for temp sensors but I would think putting the temp sensor right between the trans and cooler outlet line would be perfect. Right now mine is in the side of the trans in a small hump. I forget what its called but my trans guy said its not the greatest spot for it

I'm no expert but it seems that the root of the problem is not your cooler. It should run a lot lower than that. I'd look for the root issue, not a way to compensate. My .02
