A518 too hot.... here's my idea
with my converter and the sensor in the line I did not see temps higher than 190 pulling my 6500# camper though some of the largest hills (i says hills because that is what they would be to you folks in the west) here in PA. Temps in the pan (i switched locations for testing purposes while camping) on the trip home never got above 150.

I like the way the R's drop when the TC locks up, but I can tell by the boost gauge that the engine works going up and down rises on the hiway. I'll see a 3 - 6 lb variation in boost.

I put on a Deraille pan when I rebuilt my 47RH.
I couldn't install it myself - no tools and worse no driveway - just a path
I took it to a tranny shop locally and they checked underneath 3 times as they added fluid checking for leaks.
I think we put in 17 or 18 qts. edit thing don't look that big sitting on the floor
