i meant "new and improved" with a little sarcasm i'm well aware its just a 727 with overdrive. i looked and cannot find anything concerning a lockup 727 in gassers. i thank you for your clarity and im not being critical, inquiring minds would like to know is all

It's all good Mopar. I'm no expert either. Took some searching to figure out the A518 thing myself... Sry I missed the sarcasm - didn't mean to sound like a know-it-all.

If you scroll down this page about 3/4 of the way to where it has the heading "Lockup torque converter" it explains a wee bit about them in the 727's.... Nothing too specific on this page but it shows they do exist...
