i meant "new and improved" with a little sarcasm i'm well aware its just a 727 with overdrive. i looked and cannot find anything concerning a lockup 727 in gassers. i thank you for your clarity and im not being critical, inquiring minds would like to know is all

If you scroll down this page about 3/4 of the way to where it has the heading "Lockup torque converter" it explains a wee bit about them in the 727's.... Nothing too specific on this page but it shows they do exist...
