i was replacing the hood release on my 93 d250 auto LE and saw this little plug in for like a programmer looking type thing attached to the hood release.definely looks factory...neither one of my 91 NON i/c's have it...any one know what it is......engine diagnostic tester thing???

 

It's the "rolls" connector, it let the factory check that the RWAL sensor was working.
