I was under the hood tonight when I noticed a second plug under the hood right by the hood light. Does anyone know what it is for? I couldn't think of any reason to have another wire right there.

 

I've been wondering this one myself. I've just never taken the time to have someone find a wiring diagram that might give me a clue.

Take a look at the same year gasser if possible.

Same wiring harness is used in both models, could be something they have that we don't?

seems like i heard the temp probe goes there. you dont have the over head computor?

 

My temp probe is in front of the core support. I have the overhead, and also have the extra plug by the hood light.

 

It's probably an extention connection for a second light - they might have planned on having one on the passengers side also - or for a retractable light?
