Question Squeak from under dash with Clutch push or release

In the last few days, I've aquired a really annoying squeak from under the dash when I push in or release the clutch - Not much came up when I searched on this, Problem does seem to come and go. Ideas, anyone?

I had the same problem with mine. It's the plastic joint on the clutch pedal linkage. I took the dash cover from under the steering wheel and soaked the linkage with WD40. No problem since.

I know my 04 does it every once in a while. I just spray it with Silicone Spray purchased at Wally World and it goes away...Kinda like when you close the doors and they hit the rubber and it squeaks, like the rubber is dry...shoot silicone spray along the rubber weather stripping every month or so and they never squeak...

I wouldn't use WD40. Silicone is good, and should last a bit longer.

Mine actually gets worse in cold weather, especially if it's been a while since a new greasing. REALLY annoying!

I've got that same squeak in my automatic. I just spray silicone every where underneath there. Whatever I spray stops squeaking.

Hey BigBlue, are you spraying the silicone under the dash or in the engine area? I've got the same squeak and desperately want to get rid of it. It seems like there was a thread a while back about this and they were thinking it was the steering linkage I think.
