Hi I have '93 12valve 5 speed dually and want push somewhere between 275 and 350 and this I what I have in mind of doing
Denny stage 2 pin 3200 or 3600 rpm gov spring boost elbow and advance the timing
Denny stage 2 pin 3200 or 3600 rpm gov spring boost elbow and advance the timing
Anything else done to the motor..., turbo, injectors, piston lift pump etc? Give us a break down of your vehicle and it's mods, in your signature so we know what your working with and it will help us advise you better.
If your truck is basicly stock then your going to need a bit more upgrades to get to those numbers. I would say an HX35 turbo, with the a 3200 spring, 1/8 or 3/16 timing bump, probably a hungry diesel fuel pin, 1.5-2 turns in on the fuel screw, free flowing air filter, and a 4" exhaust to help the big lung move air, and a LPHV piston lift pump. Also make sure you have a clutch that can handle the added power as well.

And, to piggyback on TCows suggestions, you must have gauge's to monitor the added power. At minimum, a pyrometer and a boost gage. At best, those two guage's and a fuel pressure gauge.
If you start running the truck above 1300 degrees exhaust temp continuously and don't know it, you will fry up some engine parts. If you continually run above 40 psi boost with your added power, you will pop the head gasket.
If you don't have enough fuel to feed the VE injection pump, well, you'll ruin that too, cause our fuel pumps are dependent on fuel as a lubricant to the pump and the injectors.
As far as fuel pins go, the word out is BD and The Hungry Diesel make the best pins, due probably to the ramp design. I'm not an expert on the fueling curve with these pin designs, just offering up what I've read are the most popular ones.

I would add that because of ULSD being without the lubricating quality of the sulfur in the fuel can cause VE problems. I ALWAYS run a lubricating additive such as Power Service in my fuel. I add it at every fill up. Of course with my recent fuel in oil problem I'm recycling the oil laced fuel that I drained from my crankcase so lubricity isn't a problem.
Its the process of removing the last traces of sulfur that strips the ULSD of its lubricity.
