Con Fe clutch from southbend clutch, and a electric fuel pump, and 3200 gov. spring should be your first modifications,

With just a 1/4 turn on the screw, you have plenty to do to make it fast before you will need twins. JMO

6x.016 is a great size injector. 6x.018 is about as large as you want to go. I'm running 6x.016 with an hx40 and love them. They give plenty of power now and are clean enough for a "small" hx40, but will handle some large twins and a 14mm head and rotor for the pump whenever that time comes. Basicly what I'm getting at is that your only going to want to buy injectors once. Their fairly expensive and get real expensive upgrading 2 or 3 times. I learned from experience. I wouldn't look to POD's for what your wanting to get out of the truck, but thats JMHO. Injectors are how VE pumps make power! Also, there are several members making 450+ some into 500 h.p. with a single 62/71/12 or 14. Its the turbo I intend on purchasing next. And if you don't get enough out of it they seem to hold their value fairly well. Do a search for 62/71/14 and you'll find a ton of great relevant info on turbos and 6x016 injectors. Sorry So Long. I hope it was helpful.

Find someone else to build them if he refers to them as HP injectors. A 6x16 can be good from stock power to 600+hp.

Not to mention that the same injector will yield a much different HP difference if put in my engine (close to stock, with some upgrades), vs putting them in, say, bgilbert's or KTA's, engine, all else being equal.

It drives me nuts to see "50hp" or 80hp" "whateverHP" injectors advertised. How do they know it wont make more or less, based on my supply system and fuel pump settings? If you're pushing 200mm/stroke, you are going to see a much bigger increase from stock/PODs/190s with 6x14s than I will at my ~90-100mm (estimate).

I think the hp ratings on injectors are either what they will make over stock or what a stock truck should make with the injector. For example, an advertised 80hp injector will give you 80 more hp out of a STOCK engine, or a 250hp injector will make a stock truck 250hp. Thats what I've been told at least.

As far as injectors go, I believe it was KTA that told me this, on a single turbo truck 6X.016s are the injectors to go with, but on a truck with twins he says 6X.018s are the way to go.

Mine are approx. 5x15 71 lpm extrudehoned custom from DDP. These are bigger than "435's".
They will make some power.
Probably a "140+" hp injector with the right fuel settings and turbo.
For a single turbo you need at least a 62/65/14 but probably no bigger than a 64/71/14.
Hx35s and stage IV upgrades need not apply.

A 6x16 is 38% larger than mine.
Am I missing out?

Unfortunately, The truck has gained 50 hp and 200 pounds of weight since that run. It has gone faster but not quicker just yet.
Change is on the way.
