89 d250 guage mounting

I just bought a 1989 d250 with 130k on it and want to put guages in it. I dont have the trim on the pillar it is just metal. all the installs that I have seen they all have trim on the a piller then the piller pod does on the outside of that. Will the pillar gauge mount work since I dont have the trim package (not LE??)?

I bought the truck from my buddy vwjunkie53 cause he is doing back to his

anyway, back to your question...

any screw holes in the pillar from where the trim panel should go? if so, maybe you could just mount it with some screws and spacers?

there was never any trim or trim holes in the pillar.
I really dont want to do dash mount I have two autometer single cups in my Jetta TDI and I want some thing different for the truck like pillar.

well drill yourself some pilot holes and mount a dual gauge pod up there. paint it to match the paint on the pillar if you're worried about looks. i'm sure it'd be just fine that way.

try this:

$32.25 @ peak diesel performance

i dunno why it's rounded when our pillars don't have that contour or radius

thanks for all the sugestions I dont know what im going to do for guages yet I wanted to only do two guages with two read outs in both guages to keep the clutter down. I wanted to go with these guages but I priced the two that I wanted and the boost/egt was $187 and the trans temp/fuel press was $187+$40 for a custom face where the neadle is fuel press and the digital readout is trans temp.

I would never think about doing 110 in any first gen. I dont drive the truck like I dive my jetta cant get any mileage lol. It is to tow my vw collection and have a little fun in and I just want to beat my friend with an 07 g56 5.9 smarty and a few other waste of money mods I think it ran down the track a a 13.8 I just want to beat him once because he cant put any more money in his truck because of a baby on the way at 20yo
