85 prospector alignment HELP

Ive got a prospector shortbed with a 4bt cummins and ive just finished replacing my front suspension pieces.Ive done axel seals u-joints,new front gear set (3.55) and all balljoints.Ive took this vehicle for an alignmnet before and theyve told me they cant do it,due to the tierod ends being the same RH thread. They grab the draglink with a visegrips and they twist up or down which is sussposed to pull each side in or out! This is how it "should" work if they were opposing threads, but theyre not.My front end is all 100% factory parts used from this year truck as far as i know.Ive checked the rod ends for stripping ,but theyre cut with RH thread(both of them)Q:Anyone know whats up with this?

Why do they want to adjust the drag link? Toe and wheel centering are set with the tie rod. Buncha dummies...

I have to agree(not that it means much)... the adjustable pliers should have been the first sign, i usually say thanks and run at that point. Those kind of mechanics usually break stuff and say it was bad(even though you just replaced it). Drag link doesn't have opposing threads because it doesn't need it. set it to factory length and your done...i think all it really adjusts is the steering wheel position, if you want it level when driving straight. Please correct me if im wrong

Drag link length only needs to be changed if the truck is lifted.

The tie rod is used to adjust wheel centering.
