727 vs A518

Which is the better A/T....Why

What is the OD gear ratio?

What is 727 3rd gear ratio?

Can I expect more mpg from the A518 In all around
driving.

What are the most important mods to be done in
order of priority.

For most purposes the A518 AKA 46RH is better.

OD in a 518 is 0.69:1, a 727 has no OD, 3rd is 1:1 on both transmissions.

The A518 will do better on the highway, but in town there will be no real difference.

Temp gauge
Torque converter
Valve body or shift kit

CHange #1 to an extra large cooler, then add shift kit, torque converter if you have the bucks.
