4200 RpM Governor Spring

Hey guys ive poured over some prior posts on this subject and im just curious because i didnt really find a bonafide answer. I am thinking about ordering a 4200rpm governor spring and I was curious if I do or do not have to change valve springs? If you would reccomend it then state that also. Be it far from me to deprive my truck of the proper parts especially if im going to ad some Tim Taylor ARH ARH ARH ARH. Lemme know guys.

If it were me, I'd change them to the heavier springs. Better safe than sorry.

You need to do 60lb springs. Any time you spin much over 3000rpm you should do springs. Not a lot of people have had good things to say about the 4000rpm spring. I wonder if its the VE itself having problems fueling that high up in the RPM range.

actually ive read alot of people saying they have the 4200 and would never go back to the 3200 rpm spring. I was thinkin even if they arent required that as a preventative measure new valve springs couldn't hurt ya know. Like ya said better safe than doing a piston job lol. thanks. whats the best way to look those springs up online? just 60lb cummins valve springs or is does someone have a partnumber? Sealed power maybe???

You must do valve springs. I hear the 4200 spring is alot more responsive.

Your VE won't really be making any power up at that rpm, but it will give ya a better range or higher top speed.

Ive been lookin on ebay and everywhere and cant seem to find one, I think at this point id even settle for the 3800 rpm spring just to bring my truck to life. i have to wait on the valve springs and etc anyhow.
