4200 spring

Ok, i got the 4200 spring in. All I gotta do now is change the springs out.
I wanna ask a question regarding this to all you big hp guys. Is the 4200 overkill or is it handy and recommended for 4-500 hp? Can i get enough from the 3200? Or is too low?
Should I go ahead now and upgrade the head(o-ringed/ported) and stud it? I'm pretty sure it's a good idea, but i'd thought i'd ask everyone first. Is it neccesary at this point, where i'm at? I think i'll be sending the head gasket right out the door. I don't wanna mess anything up. But i wanna play with it too at the same time.
I'm getting ready to drop some change in this thing soon though. I see it coming. I want more. What about the ats manifold. Is it worth the $$$? I'm debating on getting one. Opinions/comments?
I'm prolly gonna get Joe Hellman to make me an intercooler, and go all out with this thing. And prolly start building a set of twins or a big single.

Edit: What about the cams? Do they helpout alot? And what about w/m? Whos got the best kit??? Snow Perf or the cooling mist ones???
Help! I think i caught dieselitis......

Hey Aaron. I think a 4200 spring would ROCK. I'm already planning on studding and O ringing the head, and while I'm in there I'm going to put 60 lbs valve springs in. I think that will hold up to the 4200 spring, which I was even thinking of doing if I do the head work.

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat .

I did go and drive the truck down the road......but talk about valve float......that is an understatement. But it does make the truck into an entirely different beast. I can tell. It's awesome.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to get one once I decide when I'm going to O ring the head. Think the 60 lbs valve springs will hold up to the 4200 spring? I need to call HTT and see what the stage IV can hold up to boost wise. Right now, I can pull 45 no problem. I bet once I get a better trans in there to load the engine more and I really hold onto the throttle, boost will be insane...

As for head studs, the cheapest I've found was a guy on ebay who was selling a brand new kit for $365 plus $10 shipping. That's cheap.

I have been told that an H1c will self grenade on itself at 45-50 psi. I don't really know though. Mine hasn't yet. Thats why i want a set of twins or a big single soon. And the 60 lb springs are high enuff for the 4200 spring. That is cheap studs too. What kind are they? Where's the linky if ya don't mind. Thanks

Yeah, I'm thinking I am going to have to go to twins or a big single. I can weld and stuff, so I've been thinking of making my own if I can use my H1C as a turbo in the twin setup. I'll have to do more research. Besides twins, I think the HTB2 would work out pretty well.

Here is a link to where they sold for $365. Shipping on this was $20, but on another auction it was $10. Brand is ARP, drop shipped from the factory. I contacted the seller last night and I am waiting for him to get back to me. He says he has from "one to a thousand" available, so it shouldn't be a problem getting them for $365. If he doesn't get back to me soon, I'll give him a ring and see what's up. Maybe he could cut us some sort of deal if we ordered 2? If you want to see if we can work something out with him, let me know. PM me or something.

I'm just having some fun. I finally am in a situation where i make enough money to have some fun, and do what i want to do, when i'm not working.
But i definatly do NOT live with my parents. And besides i don't drive this truck all the time. It's just a playtoy. I ain't out to bomb either. I'm going out for the big guns... And it's something i've been wanting for several years coming now.
And plus i GOTTA beat all of my friends......lol

So "Ilikebikes" no longer has any more bikes? That's rather ironic...

Bill Gilbert went back to the 3200 RPM spring. Perhaps he'll chime in here. I think he didn't see any improvement in the dyno sheets with the extra RPM.
