3200 gov spring fuel milage
3200 gov spring fuel milage
well i havent done the governor spring yet, but i would like to know if i did get one, how would my fuel milage be?, what other things can be done to increase the milage a bit? i know the bigger tires dont help all to much but, what do you think?
mine is ok in town but awesome on the freeway i havent traveled far enough but the other day i went 270 on a 1/2 tank i usually fuel up when the light comes on that tells me i have 8 gallons left
my fuel milage if anything went up a bit i beleive. and its just so much better having the wider fueling range so that i can do more then 65 with my truck screaming!!! gotta love the 727
and how far will that get me lol. ive just been ideling around the yard most of the winter. and i havent run it since it came on. but the fuel guage doesnt even work so how do i know if its accurate?

at 15 mpg you could go 75 miles or i also read that the engine burns 1 gallon an hour at idle or cost you a little over 1 dollar every 15 min at 4.50 a gal. and if you dont know if its right just go by mileage, if you get 15mpg at you put in 5 gal you could go 75 miles but if you calculate it at 12 mpgs you won't run out if you refill at 60 miles
I don't think the spring will affect your mpg unless YOU let it. Its just so much easier to romp around with that spring. I try to drive by boost and keep it under 10psi when accelerating and under 5psi rolling. Don't know if that's correct or not but thats what I do.
Try as I may, 400 miles is about the most I can ever get before I have to fill up.
1 gallon per hour? Has anyone ever actually checked this with a burette tube of fuel and a stopwatch, should also be 1 quart for 15 minuets, you could divide this down into maybe 5 minuets although it would not be as accurate.
It just seems kind of general because of the differences in idle speed, Auto/ Stick, Torque Converter drag, charging alternator, sloppy injectors.
Has anyone ever tried to cut out 3 cylinders at idle? Cadillac used to have an 8,6,4 design I think was made by Eaton

If you don't drive faster your mileage will stay the same.
