Anyone know where I could buy a set? My 4.10 is close to finished and I would love to go higher for the improved mileage.

If you want to change go with 3.54's. You can buy those new. The 3.07's have not been made by ANY company for over 10 years. You can not get any new sets anywhere. I blew one 5 years ago and there were none even then.

 

I have a spare for the '89. The dana 70 3.07 axle is a special housing made with a different pinion offset to clear the larger teeth on that gear.

I'm keeping the '89 spare. When you actually do come across one of the axles ot would behoove you to hang on to it because they're made of unobtanium... no new parts being made...

I have 2 pairs of 3.07's front and rears in 2 trucks here, same thing, not leaving, using a set for my crew cab and keeping the others as a spare.

I prefer to think of it as hoarding.

Like PapeCAT said, the 3.07 R&P only fits in the 3.07 housing and that is the only thing that fits in that housing.
