21 cm housing

I dont really see anything on this housing can you long time DCD guys ID this from this photo or tell me where to look and provice serial## to look for? I suspect it is the 21cm and would like to upgrade. The truck will regularly pull 3,000-10,000lbs I have about 1500.00 to put into upgrades(not including trans) where would it be best spent for the best pulling power. Trans will be rebuilt next summer with good converter.

air intake system = 110 ish
4 inch stright pipe = 300-400

3200 spring = 18 bucks.

This page has a lot of good info on turbo's:

http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/FAQ/turbo_faq.htm

You've either got the 18 or the 21. They show the casting numbers for the HX-35 but you've probably got the H1C. I don't know if they used the same housing.

I'm sure sombody else who knows for sure will jump in here anytime, but since you are a 92 and intercooled, you should have the 21 cm housing. From what I understand the non-ic trucks have the 18.5 and the IC have the 21.

Also, mine was a 90 non-ic and it did not have that heat sheild on the down pipe. Didn't even know that they used them.

There is alot of power to be made with $1500. The guys on here will lead you in the right direction in spending it wisely.

The 92 will have a 21cm. The number is stamped on the bottom of the housing. You should be able to see it with a mirror.

The numbers you are looking for are cast into the housing. They are facing the firewall. They are right near where the turbo bolts to the manifold. there are lots of numbers but there will be a 21 or 18.5 or 16. if its stock it will be 21 or maybe 18.5. 16CM were not stock but the best all around housing-IMHO
