Question 205 rear yoke removal

I'm installing my Gear Vendors and I got the drive shaft out, but I'm confused as to remove the rear yoke. I know I need a 1 5/16, but how do you keep it from spinning, and is it a reverse thread?

Put it in gear and block the wheels. Never seen one with reverse thread.

Did you guys use an impact gun to take it off? Mine seems to really be on there. I used a pipe wrench to hold the yoke still by putting the yoke in the jaws and resting the end of the wrench on the skid plate so when I try to take it off, the pipe wrench gets tighter up against the skid plate. Still won't budge. I'm thinking about taking it to the transmission shop where I had the clutch done and have them loosen it. Thanks guys, I mean its on there.

Put the trans in gear or the transfer case in gear?

use a 3/4 drive socket and breaker bar, jack the truck up, wedge breaker bar against ground, let truck down slowly, from a position where you are out of the way. That's how I got my front drive shaft yolk off. many times people put red locktite on the threads, and that's why it's so hard to get the yolks off.

Both, if you put it in 4x4 the the front will help keep it from turning, along with the engine.

Also I would use an impact, to take it off anyways.

Impact here as well. Doesn't allow the yoke a chance to turn, for the most part.
