1st gen's with flatbeds
I am looking at putting a flatbed on my '93 and was wondering if anybody has any pics of this setup. Also a good flatbed deserves a good set of stacks to go along with it. Any measurements of either one will be verrrrry helpful.

Mine WAS a flatbed. Then I started doing the portable welding thing, and NOW it's more like a utility body than anything, but the flatbed is still there somewhere! You can see the truck at: http://www.backwoodsenterprises.com/ , then go to 'Welding' then 'Portable Welding' and you'll see the truck. Might take a few minutes to download as I'm REAL new to the web-site building stuff and that's my 1st attempt!

I have a wooden one, and love it. Just set it up for what you want to do. If you plan on a 5th wheel or goose neck, watch your length, and you probably won't be able to have it tilt. If I ever get the rear end squared away, I plan on putting on some under bed tool boxes. The flat bed has also made some repairs a lot easier to get too. Also reduces tailgaters.

i wish i had pictures of the 2 1st gens i drove before i bought mine. They were so tough i didn't know what to do with them. One was a 93 W350 extended cab that i pulled 30,000 lbs with and the other was a 93 W250 regular cab and i don't know how much i would pull with it but i wouldn't believe the places it would go with the trailer, I'm just mad i didn't have a camera at the time. Both Flatbeds!!! Redleg do you still have your box i need a tailgate for mine.

Sorry Chris, mine didn't have the bed since the contractor bought it from the dealer. I might know of one that may be a little ruff. I'll check on it, but it's in Leroy, Mi. I do have one off an 86 Chevy though.

Chrisguthrie- You need a tailgate? There's a blue one with the red trim logo on it for sale at the feed store down the street from me. PM if interested, I'll get details. Jim.
