I was in Serbia earlier this year and it seemed like there was 10 diesel cars for every one gas model.
I never owned a Perkins Dodge but have seen a few of the 70's trucks. They say they have trouble getting out of their own way.

The diesels in the 70s Dodge were inline-six Mitsubishis, or so I always thought.

hey-Hey!!!,
I needed something like a 4BT and found the Perkins 4L, I4 a slightly better choice. Slightly lighter, and jus' slightly more power. It drove a 100kW 3-phase generator in a big HEV we put together for FutureTruck competition... I just ran across the set of sticks they sent us, 'just in case we wanted more power'. I wonder how big they are....
cheers,
Douglas

I had a boat with a T6 354M aftercooled. Ran great, but she was a dirty girl. I have a JCB Hoe with a newer perk in it, and I had a skidsteer with a perk too. I like them. There were a few boats with the 6 354, and also the 4 236. Basically all those old engines are gone now. I have not seen one in service for a while. A farmer had one in a big tractor years back too. They used to be very popular.
