I don't have time to look up each item for you in the manual. Get a service manual.

So I think I am on to something, maybe someone out there has experienced this. Called me dealer for some advice, and they said to reset the pcm memory. I set the tps and then removed the positive battery cable for 5 minutes or so. Put it back on and test drove it, shifted fine. I wanted it to shift a little sooner so I turned down the tps. Rather than shifting sooner, it shifted later.
So I did get the pcm to shift, just not quite how I wanted it to. And now I am here.
Any ideas on what is going on.

i did a couple of “stop and go’s” and it never shifted in the same spot twice, leaving it all set the same

[QUOTE=j_martin;3360674]The stock TPS is known to soonly decay into junk, and is made of unobtainium. The unavailable part of it caused me to adapt a $30 gasser tps.]
[/QUOTE
It is certainly not made of unobtainium as I have about 10 1st gen TPS units on my shop shelf I have saved over the years when doing auto to manual swaps.

They were worth a couple hundred each a few years ago when I made my adapters. Dodge discontinued them, and nobody made an aftermarket one. Now I notice that both Standard and Dorman have one,50. amd 220 bucks. A gasser TPS is $30 new, and $5 off a hundred different cars and trucks in the bone yard. After I installed 2 used ones on my trucks, I've never needed a replacement.
The Gasser TPS wants about 6V feed to range properly. I get that from the 8V feed to the CPS and a dropping resistor. I can also fiddle with that resistor and significantly change how the OD behaves.

I would pop the cover and take a look, might have corrosion that you can take care of with a toothbrush and then seal it with dielectric wax. The PCM is mostly for the sensors on the vehicle and you could build around it if you really wanted too. It's main purpose is to supple power and then complete the circuit.
