I knew you couldn't keep all that yellow paint in those cans much longer.

The twin sticks look good

I got the same 5 speed shifter in my Advanced Adapters Getrag to NV-4500 kit.
I didn't love it so I swapped on the old Getrag shifter and **** on my NV-4500.
I am just more used to that look and feel on the shifter in my Dodges.

I went over there and read it all. sounds like Andy is a very blessed guy.
Our brain is an amazing thing. Seven years ago I had brain surgery for cancer. some of the things that I lost are still slowly coming back. But that is nothing compared to what Andy is going through.

Our prayers for Andy's speedy recovery.

Mark,
Thanks man I appreciate it! He's doing incredibly well. I think he's going back to work soon.

I have the AA shift **** on there for now. I'll put something permanent on there when I find something I like. I thought about converting a ram's head hood ornament to use as a shift **** but it's probably too pointy.

Yeah, I looked at those and I really liked the design but they wouldn't sell me any with out their logo on them. They claimed that they were made by someone else and they all had the logo on them. Their answer was to paint out the logo. I didn't want their logo in my truck so I bought a set from Rydelfab. They seem pretty decent and the price was right.

I pulled the front drive shaft to do the trans swap and noticed that the CV joint was pretty sloppy. I took it apart to rebuild it and it came apart pretty easily (maybe...TOO EASILY.... MWAHAHAHA!!). I was right. The centering ball is pressed on and I had to apply the heat wrench to it to remove it. The stud that it came off of is all chewed up. Since it is pressed on: Does it matter that the stud is ugly?

I have a Ram's head as a 4x4 shifter **** in one of my rides.

I though it was too pointy as a stick shifter ****.

It's been a while since I have had time to mess with the W250. I got tired of looking at the tailgate sitting in the back of the the truck. I took it apart and lubed everything up so it actually moves. Then I tackled the hole in the side of the bed where the tailgate hinge used to be. The pic is the fix I came up with. Kinda ugly but should hold up pretty well. It's a piece of 3/4 inch pipe welded to a piece of 1/8" x 1.5" steel strap. Then I welded that to the side of the bed. I'm going to put a strip of HDPE plastic inside the hinge socket to act as a wear strip. I'll post another pic when I get the tailgate painted up.

Yeah that one has been bugging me to varying degrees since I bought the truck. I have too many projects right now to get the truck in the shop and start fixing big things. Hopefully I'll get the front drive shaft re-assembled and installed next week.
