Thanks , thought the one on top was some thing else.
Now that i know its overdrive ill work on that one some more,(not today, Mother nature dumped 10 in snow on us and its still snowing hard, Ive got car stuck in end of drive and have to try to get OLD DOG around it to get out and take wifie to work !) This is going to be a blast.

od fix

just went thru the overdrive thing find the 2 wire plug at the top of trans then find the orange wire with green tracer then you can go in cab put in a switch then ground one side of switch then run a wire from other side of switch thru fire wall under to trans &hook it to the orange &green wire get going down road say above 50 mph flip the switch and you will have od.

OK , but from what i`m experincing I would have to say the + voltage is what i keep loosing, so if i hook up off and on switch ,it still wouldnt work. Where is + voltave comming from so i can trace down that wire and check it ?
Claude
Not trying to borrow problems just know that it was trying to work yesterday 6 or7 times for short while, spedo doing same thing at same time this is why i think i`m losing + voltage.

does it in any way come back to all the connections on back of head light switch ?????? replaced that a fiew years ago everything was melted!!!!!!!!!!
OD & Spedo worked after that just wondering if that was going a gain and causing the problems ?

ok then run fused 12 volts to the other wire of that same 2wire plug and now flip the switch and you should have od oh you prbably should cut the wire so it doesnt back feed

The OD shift derives its power from the fusible link bundle on the driver side fender. The speed sensor gets its power from the SBEC which is powered from the fusible link bundle. Near as I can tell from the FSM if you are loosing speed sensor you are loosing power from the SBEC. That could be from a bad SBEC or a bad power feed to it. Check the fusible links carefully for continuity and any problems. As a guess I would say there is a bad one in there some where. SBEC is Single Board Engine Controller or the PCM.
