1990 dodge diesel radiator

i have a 1990 dodge cummins powered with a 727 automatic pick up. The truck is stock. I would like to have a bigger radiator. Can somebody help me? will a newer truck radiator --91 or 92 fit?

mind if i ask why the need for the bigger radiator? the diesels, especially stock, don't usually have any problems overheating. i even know a few people who run most of the year with the fan pulled.

The non-intercooled trucks have much smaller radiators than intercooled trucks. Even at stock power when the truck is worked the way its intended they run hot.

A member just installed a newer style radiator in a non-IC truck, the thread should be in the next page or two back. He didn't have a whole lot of trouble, but there was a little bit of tweaking involved.

YOU can install a 91.5 -93 cross flow with very little effort and some hand tools if you want info you can PM me or do a serach on it on this site. my 90 CTD has a 93 rad. in it and nolonger runs hot! 89-90 rads. are to small for them to do a good job

I just did this. I put a 93 radiator in my 89 truck. The main reason to do this is cost and you get a better radiator. The 93 radiator is a crossflow design and a little larger. I detailed what it took in my writeup. You should be able to find it pretty easy by searching.
