1975 Dodge w100 cummins frame swap sclb to ecsb

Here my build I started with a 1975 dodge w100 360 727 club cab. I was out driving around one day and came acrossed a pretty beat first gen that looked like it had been sitting there for I long time so I went to there door and asked about it runs and drive it's just not pretty so I picked it up for $1500. I then proceeded to pull the cab and bed off the first gen and put my club cab and short bed on the frame the swap only took me 3 day I love the results.

The donor truck

Striped the frame

Placed 1975 body on cummins frame

Got new rims and tires and put on 1992 grill

Painted and installed 5x14 injecters and 5in turbo back stack system

Looking clean

Cool, man!

And to think, you did all that work lying on your back in the mud...

Welcome to DTR.
Great looking job.
You didn't have any problems with the frame kick up behind the regular cab hitting the bottom of the extra cab?
Or the old fuel tank in the way of the extra cab floor?
I know these are problems installing a crew cab short bed on an ECLB frame.

That's an interesting look with the '90s grille.
The only thing that looks better to me than a chrome intercooled grille is the old aluminum grille with round head lights.
I don't know what Dodge was thinking between '81 and '91.

I like the old aluminum grille with round head lights best but on the later grilles I like the pre 91.5 better that the later ones.

I am with you Mark, chromed plastic is kinda cheesy.
It is just harder to fit an intercooler behind the old '72-'80 aluminum grille.

I think you hit the nail on the head with "chromed plastic" because the painted ones I see are growing on me.
