Easy. just take the 4 bolts out holding it to the rest of the turbo and bolt the new housing in.

The housing may or may not "fall" off the turbo when you take the four bolts out. Some penetrating lube like PB Blaster, Kroil, or the like and an overnight soak will go a long way to helping. Then tap tap tap around the housing. Easy does it. Keep turning the the shaft of the turbine/compressor to make sure you don't bind the housing against the turbine.

When I did mine, it was a son of a gun to get off. More like bang bang bang around the housing. I was scared I was going to damage the turbine or shaft. But it come off in the end. Just takes some time.

I had a HELL OF A TIME, getting mine off. BANG BANG BANG around the housing didn't work. Eventually in the end i made some wooden wedges out of 2x4 and hammered them in from either side and it came off like a dream. Lol. Housing it good mod though, hope you enjoy it.

Do you guys leave it the turbo bolted in place while or is this done on the shop floor? I was going to soak it with PB-blast for a week or so. I understand the idea- don't want to bind on the wheel. I was hoping with it mounted on the exhaust manifold-it might be easier to man-handle.

Mine came off pretty easy. Loosened the bolts little whack and it was off.
