12 cm housing no wastegate?

So I picked up an hx-35 off of a 95 ram, and the boost hose was cut on it, and it does not hook up to the turbo itself. Where should I run this line? I do have a set of gauges, and I was going to see how high the boost got before I hooked up my wastegate. I don't think I want to go any higher than 35 psi without head studs though. If I do have to hook my wastegate up, how do I adjust the turbo so that I can get over 20 pounds of boost out of it?

Mine does 30psi max with the 12cm, stock injectors, fuel screw all the way in and wastegate bolted shut.

Remove the compressor cover from the hx35, drill and tap a spot near the charge outlet to 1/8npt. Then get a 90* brass fitting 1/8npt on one end 1/4" hose nipple on the other. Then a short piece of 1/4" hose that is capable of at least 100psi.

If you have the fuel you'll get well over 20 pounds of boost even with the gate hooked up.

On the intercooled trucks I like to plumb the wastegate into the intake manifold. That way boost pressure does not vary with outside temp.

That's a good idea Wanna! I don't have an intercooler anymore though.

Does it matter how long the hose is?

Not really. Mine is run under the engine. I used a piece of steel tube with short hoses on each end.
