will a engine smoke if a turbo is not hooked up
Hey guys quick debate, We have a truck here that i believe has no boost ( we havnt tested this yet) but a mechanic says it will smoke if this is the case, I say it wont because the AFC wont get any boost either and wont provide the fuel to let it smoke. What does our expereince tell us
Depends how the AFC is set. If the AFC is set tight, then it won't smoke (outside of cold engine smoke). If its set loose, then it will smoke without turbo flow. Should still run smoothly at high rpm as long as you're not revving it quickly. Might experience it if you pin it from an idle.
