white-blue smoke

I just bought my first cummins, a 94 sd cab with 130,000mi.<br>the first morning i started it after i got it home i noticed a little white-blue smoke, then when i drive it blows alot for about thirty seconds to a minute and clears up. it also blows a little a full trottle with no load. i would not worry but we have three 93s at work and they have 350,000 and do not smoke at all except a little black smoke on acceleration. other than that it runs ok and seems to have normal power for a stock cummins.

Re:white-blue smoke

Are you getting this smoke after the engine has reached operating temp...most diesels blow white smoke when cold (low combustion temp) mine will smoke white until its warmed up ???

Re:white-blue smoke

It does still smoke at full throttle even if it is warm but not like it does when cold. just a little but i can smell it in the cab when driving and it really burns the eyes....ive searched this site and it seems my timing may be off,, is this common or could it be something else.
