1200-1250 degrees sustained temperature, 1500-1600 peak egt for short time, any longer and your pistons will melt. I've seen a couple of trucks push 1800-2000 at truck pulls with both good and bad results. most of the bad results were with the dmax's.

My truck has pegged an 1800 degree pyro at a truck pul once, as long as it's for a short time, high heat won't hurt you.

It depends whether your probe is pre-turbo, or post-turbo.

Its kind of like playing russian roulette. You can probably get away with pushing the limits once---- twice--- a dozen times--- 2 dozen times etc. Then .

I think you are only getting one exh leg for temp there. It will probably be OK, but not as accurate as just before the turbo in either the front or rear port. Did you remove the manifold before you drilled and tapped it there? (I hope)
