Give things a little time...

An exhaust dump? Allows you to dump te exhaust (usually right after the downpipe) so you can have a muffler for normal daily driving, and run open exhaust if you want.

If you smoke more then maybe your talking about some kind of blowoff valve.
When its open then you build no boost therefore no proper air to burn fuel.
More smoke.

The starwheel in the AFC housing. It controls the fueling pre boost, under about 3 psi. Loosening the starwheel increases fueling, smoke and helps the turbo spool quicker.

Is that what you were wanting? Let me know, I will try to help as much as I can.

Not really, what works well for me may not be what you want.

FWIW- The holes that bolt the AFC down are slotted, I have my housing all the way forward, and then I tightened the starwheel (starting with it pretty much all the way loose) untill the smoke was acceptable. I like being able to drive normally with not much more than a haze. Hope that helps you get yours set up. Tinkering is the fun of owning a 12v

Glad I could help. I remember being the new guy, and having Rick help me get things figured out on my truck... It's nice to be able to return the favor. And welcome to the DTR family.
