water in my oil

I have antifreeze in my oil, its white smoking like crazy even the blow by tube has smoke coming out, milky crap on the dip stick. Its a 96 12 valve i just got it all together and now this. Is it more than likely the head gasket? I need some help please.thanks

Head gasket or oil cooler.

Did you hear the engine run in the donor truck?

Hi! Sorry to read about your troubles. Did the "Distant Friend" give you any indication regarding whether or not the motor was running properly or not? Patdaly is spot on with his initial input, my first thought was head gasket.

Cheers!

I really did try to reply to your post about the 80lbs of torque. My cell phone reply just didn't make it to posting on this site. I was going to say that I thought that the torque for the head bolts was more like 110lbs. PatDaly was right on about referencing the FSM. Sorry to read about your problems with the gasket. Hope that she sits better on the next one!

Cheers!
