Boost line doesn't go to AFC from there.

It goes straight from turbo to actuator only, well it did before I blocked it off due to leakage.

The AFC boost line comes from manifold pressure in what is done so neatly it could only be a factory configuration (I assume).

You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the excellent replies thus far.

I picked up the 7.3 for my dorF today and pressure washed it. Gonna degrease it some more and spray it again tomorrow. I'm off of the Dodge for a few. I was supposed to pick up the 7.3 earlier but plans kept falling through...

I was really surprised that exhaust temps appeared lower with 1500 pounds in the bed, like less than 600 off a 70 mph highway run. Power appeared lower too.

This is the common way it's done on '97-'98 but never seen it done this way on a '95. Makes me wonder if someone swapped turbos.
Leave the wastegate blocked and don't worry about it till you add more fuel.
It will take quite a few more mods in order to cause an overboost situation.

And on '96, at least that the way mine is works. It goes straight from the waste gate actuator to the AFC.

I'm telling you, I was removing factory clamps. It's so nicely done on the intake to AFC that I simply do not believe that anyone in Tampa did that work. Unless they really did take it to Tampa Mack, then maybe.

Wow, wouldn't it be a thrill to find that I have a newer engine with less miles on it? I guess unless it's the dreaded "53" block, whatever that means.

How can I check what engine I have??? Gotta be casting ## somewhere that Cummins could look up, eh?

7.3 engine job coming along nicely although not impressively speedily. Of course it is a different engine-different year-different wiring swap. Dash is almost out for the harness.

i dont think the 53 block was a 12v issue so you should be safe on that front as for the possible turbo swap just take it as a gift since it hasnt hurt anything
