just put 30 lbs of pressure to the waste gate. I have a healthy 1/4 inch travel on the rod( by feel). The factory specs say 1/64-3/64 inch. Is this normal wear for a waste gate with 262,000 miles and never adjusted. I know y'all dont like waste gates but if it has to be adjusted is tighter the better? Thank you

 

Let it alone, it's still holding air and moving when it's pressurized.
