WAIT TO START

98 3500 WHEN 98K MILES WHEN I START IT SOMETIMES THE WAIT TO START LIGHT WILL FLASH UNTIL I SHUT IT DOWN AND RESTART SOMETIMES THAT WORKS AND SOMETIMES IT DON'T.

i don't even have a wait to start light! When I first got it, I thought that it was just burnt out or somthing. But when I pulled the dash, theres not even a bulb back there! Is there any way to add one? That, and the Water in fuel light....I would really like for those to be there.

Well when the wait to start comes on twice or three times that means your glowpulgs or "coil" as others call it for the CTD is going out. correct me if Im wrong.

Glowplugs?!? <br><br>The ctd uses a heater grid system.

I hate to sound dumb but what is the CTD and were is the heater grid ???? I'm guessing it's under the intake ???<br>Is there a timer or a tempeture senser that turns it off and on

It is the little block between the intake horn and the intake manifold that the wires are hoohed up too. It is temperature controlled.
