hey guys,

i just picked up my ctd about a month ago and need to know when i should get a valve adjustment and any other maintenance the last owner might have over looked. also i hear im due to fix the kdp if so where do i get a jig to repair it. my truck is a 96 with 62,350.

thanks, dan
Re:valve adjustment at 60k
I would just go ahead and adjust the valves. That way you know what was done. Before you do check the gaskets on the valve covers. If they are black in color you probably should go to Cummins and pick up the upgraded gaskets. The upgrades are grey. They are about $28 for all six around here. If you already have the grey ones on the valves have probably been adjusted.
Tom
